EAGLEHAWK NECK
Species:Â Â Bluefin Tuna.
The talk of the week were the Bluefin Tuna Jumbos caught out of nowhere down south at Eaglehawk Neck. Are they coming or are they going? Either way it’s a great sign that the once seasonal Bluefin Tuna are slowly becoming a year round species.
Naturally the famous Halco Laser Pro 190 in the King Brown colour was one of the lures they were caught on.
*** Update – As we were in the process of writing this report this morning another Jumbo was caught! ***
GEORGES BAY
Species:Â Trevally.
Trevally were the pick of the week down Georges Bay with anglers having plenty of fun chasing them on light tackle. Flicking soft plastics and hardbody lures a great way to target them.
WATERHOUSE ISLAND
Species: King George Whiting
The King George Whiting still continue to run around Waterhouse Island with some great fish being caught over the past week. The ever faithful Hayabusa Whiting rig have been purpose built to chase these.
