LOW HEAD
Species:Â Gummy Shark.
With most of the fishing action focused on the Calamari at Low Head and Two Mile reef the Gummy Sharks went quietly unnoticed. Those with Long lines or Shark lines having the most luck.
A couple of Flathead about as well but anglers had more success jigging for them then baitfishing.
GEORGES BAY
Species:Â Trevally, Australian Salmon
Georges Bay is once again the place to be this week with the fishing action getting better and better. Salmon and Trevally all still fishing well.
WATERHOUSE ISLAND
Species: King George Whiting
Reports of King George Whiting swimming around Waterhouse Island, however they are few and far between. Locating a clear sandy patch and using the Hayabusa Whiting rigs will hopefully help increase your chances.
NORTH COAST
Species: Calamari Squid
And finally, as of the 1st of October the Squid season on the North Coast will close to give the spawning squid a chance to reproduce in peace. Which is definetly a good thing as anglers who went chasing them on the weekend were left bitterly disappointed.
The Season will reopen on November the 1st.
