The Whitebait are moving further and further up stream providing plenty of food for the local Sea Run Trout.
The North Esk, Meander, Forester, Arthur/Henty and Ringarooma to name a few that have been benefiting from the recent Whitebait run. Needless to say mimicking a Whitebait with a Softplastic or Hardbody lure the best approach.
GEORGES BAY
Species: Trevally, Australian Salmon
Georges Bay at St Helens has sprung to life over the past week with plenty of Salmon and Trevally moving into the bay. The best thing about Georges Bay is it allows anglers to access a wide range of fish species all in one place.
NORTH & EAST COASTLINES

For those who prefer land based fishing action – Australian Salmon off the shore were featuring in a lot of anglers catches over the past week. Silver slices cast and retrieved at speed a simple yet effective method.
LOW HEAD
Species: King George Whiting & Calamari Squid
The Calamari are becoming more prolific around Low Head which has local anglers excited, the Yoshikawa squid jig in the Parrot Colour doing a lot of the damage. Good catches of King George Whiting being caught around the mouth of the river as well.
