Tamar Marine Fishing Report – 22nd September 2021

LOW HEAD

Species:ย  Flathead and Gummy Shark.

The North Coast was the place to be this past week for those looking for a quality feed with plenty of Flathead and Gummy Shark being caught along the coast. Fresh bait on bottom rigs doing the bulk of the work.

GEORGES BAY

Species:ย  Trevally, Australian Salmon

Georges Bay continued its recent hot streak with the Bay producing some great Trevally and Australian Salmon once again this week.

EAGLEHAWK NECK

Species: Bluefin Tuna

Either there is a few scragglers kicking around or the Bluefin are running ahead of schedule as there is still a few Schoolies being caught around Eaglehawk. Few and far between, ย so running a spread of both skirted and hardbody divers your best option.

LOW HEAD

Species: Calamari Squid

As reported last week the Calamari have shown up around the mouth of the river and around the corner at two mile reef. This will be the last week you can fish for the Calamari for a month as the season closes between the 1st and 31st of October for their yearly spawing season.
