Summer greeted us with wind and showers over the weekend, making for some very ordinary fishing conditions.
ST HELENS
Species: Mako Shark.
Mako Sharks have appeared in numbers off St Helens with many impressive catches being reported over the past week. Large fresh baits and a berley slick the best way to attract one.
EDDYSTONE POINT
Species: Striped Trumpeter, Blue Eye Trevalla.
Located on the top end of the East Coast of Tasmania, Eddystone Point is fishing well for Striped Trumpeter and Blue Eye Trevalla.
Fishing with a lumo bottom rig a perfect way to land some.
GREAT LAKE & ARTHURS LAKE
Species: Brown Trout.
The Central Highlands has been a buzz this past week with the world fly fishing championships kicking off. With the weather the way it has been we can only imagine they are doing it tough up there.
For those wanting to brave the elements – The 2 major lakes, Great Lake and Arthurs Lake have been producing good fish with many lures working well. Hard Bodies, Soft Plastics and the ever faithful Lofty Cobras.
