Tamar Marine Fishing Report – 19 February 2020

DEVONPORT

Species: Kingfish.

The Kingfish have started making their way along the north coast of Tasmania, with recent catches reported only yesterday. Kingfish often swim down deeper with schools of Salmon, look for birds working and use a diving lure to get down deeper. How ever fast you retrieve/troll for salmon double your speed to increase your chances of landing one.

ARTHURS LAKE

Species: Brown Trout.

Hard Bodies and Soft plastics were the go to lures up on Arthurs Lake this past week. Anglers landing plenty of Brown Trout whilst they enjoy the last few weeks of summer up in on the central highlands.

WATERHOUSE ISLAND

Species: Flathead.

Every ones favourite eating fish, Flathead were on the bite around Waterhouse Island over the weekend. It pays to have a boat as anglers were having the most success on the outside of Waterhouse Island. Paternoster or the famous Jig Em rigs working well.
