A true Tasmanian winter’s weekend – snow, wind and rain prevented many people from venturing out for a fish, with those that did quoting that they should have stayed at home.
With the fish getting the upper hand on the weekend with many anglers reporting tough going.
LOWHEAD
Species: Couta and Mackerel.
Limited action around the mouth of the Tamar this week with anglers reporting a few small catches of Couta and Mackerel. Trolling small 10-15g metal lures the way to go.
ST HELENS
Species: Bluefin Tuna.
The Bluefin Tuna have been a bit patchy off St Helens the past week with reports of smaller 8-10kg Bluefin still being caught. However the water temp is still ideal and there is still plenty of bait
fish in the area. Halco King Brown lure still the pick of the bunch.
