Tamar Marine Fishing Report – 10 July 2019
Calm weather over the weekend provided great conditions for Tassie boaters to get out on the water.
LOWHEAD
Species: Calamari and King George Whiting
Calamari still being caught around the heads, predominately inside the mouth of the river. Yamashita Jigs in the Fluoro green/yellow working the magic.
King George whiting also reported in the river, Hayabusa whiting rigs providing a easy and efficient way to target them.
BICHENO
Species: Bluefin Tuna
Plenty of 20-30kg schoolies reported off Bicheno, Halco laser pro in the King Brown and Pilchard colour doing the damage.
NINTH ISLAND
Species: Flathead
Located a short distance off Bridport, providing good results. Mustard flasher rigs in the 5/0 size.
