Tamar Marine Fishing Report – 14 August 2019

KELSO

Species: Cocky Salmon.

Easy to catch from the shore or the boat make Cocky Salmon are a great target for the entire family. A Halco Slice 5-15g metal lure trolled behind the boat, casting and retrieving from the shore working as well. Ideally  look for an area where birds are diving into the water and cast nearby.

WOODS LAKE

Species: Brown Trout.

Carrying on from last weeks success, Woods Lake was still running hot. Those with a boat are having the upper hand with drift spinning the shore line working well. Jaz Minofish in the Brown Trout colour.

FOUR SPRINGS LAKE

Species: Brown Trout 2 – 3lbs.

Whether casting hard bodies or soft plastic, or even enjoy kicking back trolling, Four Springs Lake was producing the fish this week. Fishing the weed bank edges proving to be effective. Berkley T-Tails in the Black and Gold as well as the Strike Tiger and Keitech soft plastics. For those fishing hardbody lures – Ecogear MW62 in 313 and 305 colour variations.

LAKE LEAKE

Species: Rainbow Trout.

Lake Leake is located on the B34 Highway approximately 34km East of Campbell Town. Recently it was stocked with over 2000 Rainbow Trout. Trolling Tillins King Cobra in the custom no.95 and no.18 working well.
