Tamar Marine Fishing Report – 12th August 2020

FOUR SPRINGS LAKE

Species: Brown & Rainbow Trout.

Weed weed weed seems to be the common topic when talking about Four Springs Lake this week.

Normally a problem during the warmer months, anglers were shocked to find large amounts of weed already through the lake, making the going tough for many. Surface or shallow diving lures the way to go.

LAKE LEAKE

Species: Brown & Rainbow Trout.

Lake Leake followed up a successful opening weekend with anglers producing some good fish all week. Both Hardbody and Soft Plastic lures still working well for anglers.

SCHOUTEN ISLAND

Species: Bluefin Tuna & Striped Trumpeter

Schouten Island was the Tuna hot spot for this week. Plenty of schoolies about which provided plenty of fun for those who ventured out. Halco Laser Pros once again doing the damage.

Striped Trumpeter in closer than many think, providing a great alternative on spending the day trolling around for the Bluefin.
