It’s been a pretty wet and wild week/weekend which has limited anglers from getting out on the water.
DEVONPORT
Species: Flathead and Gummy Shark.
For anglers with a boat on the North Coast we have had reports of decent Flathead and Gummy Shark caught. A simple Flasher or Jig-Em rig bounced along the ocean floor will work well. For an added advantage, add some freshly caught bait to the hooks.
MEANDER RIVER
Species: Brown Trout.
If you enjoy a nice relaxing day river fishing, then the Meander River is the place to be. Bait fishing with fresh worms working well over the past week, how ever with the recent rains you might want to wait for the water flow to settle down.
FOUR SPRINGS LAKE
Species: Brown and Rainbow Trout.
Four Springs Lake is still fishing well. Soft plastic lures were this weeks stand out lures, the Berkley T-Tail (Black and Gold) and Keitch 3ā Easy Shiner (Ayu) the pick of the bunch.
LAKE LEAKE
Species: Brown and Rainbow Trout.
Easy to get to and fishable by boat or from the shore. Anglers have had recent success on both Brown and Rainbow Trout ā Hardbody lures having the most success, the Rapala Firetiger and Jaz Minofish.
