BRIDPORT
Species: Flathead and Gummy Shark.
The North East Coast looks to be heating up with ample catches of Flathead and Gummy Shark, just in time for the long weekend rush. Jig Ems, Squid and Blue Bait all working a treat with anglers drifting and using long lines.
KELSO
Species: King George Whiting
Whiting are again making their regular appearance in the river. The Kelso flats area over sandy patches and amongst weed beds is where you will have the best chance of landing one. Hayabusa Whiting Rigs are a must have when fishing the Tamar River.
WOODS LAKE
Species: Rainbow and Brown Trout
Woods Lake has been fishing well this season, with anglers often reporting they have “bagged out“ fishing here. Trolling edges with Tillins Cobras and Tassie Devil lures working well.
TAMAR RIVER
Species: Silver Trevally
Something different to report, Silver Trevally are showing up in the river. Anglers have found the best way to target one is spinning Soft Plastics or with Blue Bait.
