Short and sweet this week as reports have been pretty thin.
LAKE ROWALLAN
Species: Brown Trout.
Lake Rowallan at the top of the Mersey River is fishing well currently with anglers having recent success on soft plastics and hard body lures.
With the weather sort of warming up and with many anglers tending to head to coastal waters the fresh water action has been pretty limited.
BRIDPORT
Species: Snapper.
There has been some extremely impressive Snapper caught in the bay at Bridport the past week. You’re going to want to try and locate a gravely seabed, anchor up and have fresh bait to catch one.
TAILRACE
Species: Black Bream.
Normally a good source of Searun Trout this time of year – A Bream has been caught in the Tailrace of all places. Locating Bream in the Tamar River has been the subject of debate for many years, with many anglers focusing much of their angling from the Batman Bridge up. Maybe its time for them to refocus their searches further upstream.
