LOW HEAD
Species: Flathead.
As reported in previous weeks anglers have been having great success catching Flathead on the North Coast. Great to eat and easy to catch, all you need is a simple bottom rig with a sinker on the bottom and a couple of arms coming off the main line with some hooks attached. These rigs are readily available in any fishing shop.
BLACKMANS LAGOON
Species: Brown Trout.
Blackmans Lagoon in the states North East is a major fishery within the Waterhouse conservation area. Blackmans Lagoon has been fishing well in recent weeks, Berkley Black and Gold T-Tails working the best.
LAKE KARA
Species: Rainbow Trout.
Lake Kara is a small man made reservoir situated east of Hampshire on the North West Coast. It was constructed using voluntary labour and opened for fishing in 1969, a sheltered water ideal for small boats, canoes and kayaks. Anglers have had recent success casting hardbody lures such as the Ecogear MX48.
