EAST COAST
Species: Albacore and Bluefin Tuna, Mako Sharks.
The East Coast continued to be the place to be over the past week with a range of fish being caught. The weather was the biggest issue with a lack of quality fishing days holding anglers back.
Albacore and Bluefin Tuna being reported up and down the coast.
And plenty of Makos about which is a great sign for the St Helens Game Fishing Club Shark competition this weekend.
BRIDPORT
Species: Flathead & Gummy Shark.
The ever popular holiday village was fishing well with some great catches of Flathead and Gummy Sharks, providing some great eating for anglers.
JigEm Rigs and fresh bait working well for both.
DEVONPORT
Species: Australian Salmon & Snapper.
The waters out the front of Devonport are producing some great Snapper and Australian Salmon. Locating a patch of bottom structure will help you find the Snapper and look for birds diving to help lock down the location of the Salmon.
Simple metal slices all that is required for the Salmon. Fresh Bait the best way to target the Snapper however lately anglers have been targeting them using Jigs and we have seen some surprising results.
