A weekend of wild windy weather has limited the saltwater action this week but we have plenty of trout action to report this week
GREAT LAKE
Species: Brown & Rainbow Trout.
For those braving the cold the Great Lake in the Central Highlands has started turning it on with anglers producing some good catches in the Swan Bay – Bee Hive area.
LAKE LEAKE
Species: Brown & Rainbow Trout.
Lake Leake once again the go to Trout lake for the early weeks of Trout season, with anglers landing plenty over the past week. Soft Plastics and Hardbody lures working well all over the lake.
TAMAR RIVER
Species: Sea Run Trout
The Tailrace was a popular fishing destination over the weekend with anglers flocking there to try their luck on a Sea Run Trout, however anglers found the going tough with a very few caught.
NORTH & SOUTH ESK
Species:Â Brown & Rainbow Trout.
Two popular local rivers which had been fishing well until the recent rains. If we get a clear run of weather with no rain and the flow slows down, look to these two rivers as a great local destination to land some great Trout.
