LOW HEAD
Species: Squid – Calamari
After much anticipation the Squid have returned in huge numbers at the mouth of the river with many anglers bagging out. Squid Jigs in a Lumo yellow or white with a red head the best way to go about catching some.
Just remember the Squid season on the North Coast is closed from the 1st to 31st of October.
LAKE LEAKE
Species: Brown & Rainbow Trout.
Straight up repeat of last week, Lake Leake is still the go to destination for Trout with the Lake still providing ample fish. Both Soft Plastics and Hard Body Lures still working well.
KELSO
Species: King George Whiting.
A great place to stop on your way home from a successful day of Squid catching. The Kelso flats have been fishing well these past few weeks for King George Whiting, with the Hayabusa Whiting rigs one of your best options to land a few.
