A weekend of wild weather stopped most anglers from heading out over the weekend, with only the extremely keen venturing out.
EAGLEHAWK NECK
Species: Bluefin Tuna.
The Jumbos are still firing at Eaglehawk Neck with a number of big fish caught over the past week.
The Halco Laser Pro – King Brown colour still leading the way as the go to Bluefin Lure for another year. Hopefully the run of Jumbos continues.
FLINDERS ISLAND
Species: Kingfish.
Not somewhere we usually get reports from but the waters off Flinders Island have been fishing well for Kingfish the past week.
NORTH ESK RIVER
Species: Brown Trout.
Located in the shadows of Ben Lomond, situated on the North Esk River is the quiet town of Blessington. The North Esk has been fishing well late in the season with some great Brown Trout being caught. Flicking soft plastics such as the Berkley Black and Gold T Tail upstream a great way to target a wild Brown Trout.
