Tamar Marine Fishing Report – 24th November 2021

TAMAR HEADS

Species:  King George Whiting & Calamari Squid.

The waters around the mouth of the Tamar River are a hive of activity at the moment with both King George Whitting on the flat sandy patches and Calamari Squid being caught both inside the mouth and as far around as Two Mile Reef.

If you’re a regular reader of the fishing report youll be well aware that our go to recommendation for the Whiting will be the Hayabusa Whiting rigs and the hot Squid Jig of the moment is the Yoshikawa parrot Jig.

BRIDPORT

Species: Snapper.

Snapper season is in full swing off Bridport with Snapper catches becoming more and more regular every year. Fresh bait and a bit of structure the key as well as finding a local whose willing to give up some knowledge on their special spots.

BICHENO

Species: Striped Trumpeter.

Bicheno was a hive of activitiy over the weekend with the annual food and wine festival taking place on the foreshore, but the real action was offshore with a number of good Stripeys caught in the waters off Bicheno.
