Tamar Marine Fishing Report – 5th May 2021

EAGLEHAWK NECK

Species:ย  Bluefin Tuna.

The Eaglehawk Bluefin have started to quieten over this past week with more โ€œSchooliesโ€ reported rather than โ€œJumbosโ€.

ST HELENS

Species:ย  Bluefin Tuna.

The Bluefin action has well and truly made its way up the Coast with plenty of barrels being hooked off St Helens and the surrounding area. Hopefully they stick around for another few weeks.

NORTH EAST COAST

Species:ย  Calamari Squid.

We reported the other week about there being some cracking Calamari off Musselroe Bay, and itโ€™s now apparent they have made their way along the Bass Straight Coast with some absolute monsters starting to be caught in all the popular hot spots. Low Head and Waterhouse Island the standouts.

LOW HEAD

Species:ย  A bit of everything.

For those just wanting a fun day out on the water with plenty of random fishing action then Low Head is the place to be with Anglers enjoying a great day out on the water landing a variety of fish including Couta, Pike, Wrasse and the odd Octopus.
