Tamar Marine Fishing Report – 1st July 2020

EAST COAST

Species: Bluefin Tuna, Striped Trumpeter, Australian Salmon

The East Coast continues to produce week after week. Bluefin Tuna was still the majority of anglers catches this week with the huge run up and down the entire East Coast continuing. Halco Laser Pros – King Brown lures becoming harder and harder to source due to their success on the Bluefin.

For anglers not wanting to spend the day trolling up and down the coast, the Striped Trumpeter were biting as well.

And for those without a boat, there is plenty of Australian Salmon swimming up and down the East Coast, perfect for those wanting to throw a line in.

WEYMOUTH

Species: Flathead & Gummy Sharks

Good sized Flatheads and Gummy Sharks were landed off the coast of Weymouth. Jig Ems rigs which should be an essential in bottom fishing tackle boxes, once again effective.
