Tamar Marine Fishing Report – 26 March 2020

COLES BAY

Species: Flathead.

Coles Bay fishing well for Flathead this last week with anglers reporting good catches. Paternoster rigs, Jig ems rigs all working well.

GEORGES BAY

Species: Kingfish.

Georges bay continues its stellar run with Kingfish still being reported in the bay. Fishing with soft plastics the latest effective way to catch one. The lure of choice – Zerek Flash Minnows retrieved quickly.

TAMAR RIVER

Species: Cocky Salmon.

Schools and schools of Cocky Salmon in the river, and the best part is you don’t need a boat to land one. Casting and retrieving silver slices from the shorelines proving effective. A great target species for the family and a ideal fish to get the kids into fishing.
