Tamar Marine Fishing Report - 4 March 2020 - Tamar Marine: Boating, Fishing & Marine Gear

Tamar Marine Fishing Report – 4 March 2020

GREAT OYSTER BAY

Species: Flathead.

Nestled on the East Coast of Tasmania surrounded by Swansea, Coles Bay and Freycinet National Park, Great Oyster Bay is the ideal boating destination on the East Coast. Has recently been fishing extremely well for large Flathead, Hayabusa Paternoster Rigs or Jig Em Rigs both working a treat.

WEYMOUTH

Species: Flathead & Gummy Shark.

If you are up North and don’t want to make the trip down the East Coast then, Weymouth is the place to be. A short drive from Launceston, Weymouth has been providing anglers with some great feeds of both Flathead and Gummy Shark. Same techniques as above working well.

TAMAR RIVER

Species: Snapper & Squid.

The ever popular Tamar River is enjoying a nice run of Snapper and Squid. A simple Squid Jig is all that is required to snag a Squid if they are in the area, Snapper on the other hand will require fresh bait and a bit of patience.
