Tamar Marine Fishing Report - 18 March 2020 - Tamar Marine: Boating, Fishing & Marine Gear

Tamar Marine Fishing Report – 18 March 2020

NORTH ESK

Species: Brown Trout.

The North Esk has been producing some lovely fish this past week with both soft plastics and hardbodies working a treat.

GEORGES BAY

Species: Kingfish and Salmon.

Georges Bay has been the hot spot all summer with a consistent supply of great fish entering the bay. Recently schools of Kingfish and Salmon in large numbers have been reported. The key to fishing for one or the other is for changing your retrieve speed, how ever fast you are retrieving for Salmon you will need to double that to target Kingfish. Trolling or casting lures both working well.

DEVONPORT

Species: Snapper & Gummy Shark.

As reported last week, the North Coast off Devonport once again the place to be up this end of the state with good catches of Snapper and Gummy Sharks landed over the past week. The fresher the bait, the better your chances on catching either.
