Tamar Marine Fishing Report - 12 February 2020 - Tamar Marine: Boating, Fishing & Marine Gear

Tamar Marine Fishing Report – 12 February 2020

ST HELENS & GEORGES BAY

Species: Albacore Tuna, Kingfish

The East Coast town of St Helens is seeing plenty of angling action both in the bay and off the coast. Kingfish have been landed in the bay and for those with a boat, there has been plenty of Albacore Tuna caught off the coast. Trolling skirted lures working well on them.

GREAT LAKE

Species: Brown Trout, Rainbow Trout.

Whilst most of the attention was on the reopening of Lake Sorrell, Great Lake snuck under the radar this weekend. Trolling Cobra Lures with lead line to drag them down deeper will increase your chances of landing one this time of year.

DEVONPORT

Species: Snapper.

Much the same as last week, with plenty of Snapper caught along the North Coast. Devonport seems to be the hot spot this week with plenty of snapper being landed off the coast. Hayabusa Paternoster Rigs working well.
